Kelly-Ruth Mercier
Kelly-Ruth holds a B.A. (Acting) from Dalhousie and an M.F.A. (Directing).
A graduate of Women in the Director's Chair, she is a recipient of the prestigious MPPIA/Whistler Film Festival Short Film Award [2009] with her project MOVE OUT CLEAN,
and the DGC Kickstart Award [2007] for her film NO ONE KNOWS YOU LIKE YOUR MOTHER.
Kelly-Ruth is also a Leo-nominated producer whose short films have screened at festivals on three continents.
An experienced singer, actor & director, Kelly-Ruth has Guest Starred in THE L WORD, ROBSON ARMS, COLD SQUAD, and SMALLVILLE,
among others, several MOW's and features, and has performed in 9 of Canada's 10 provinces.
On stage, she has directed RED LIGHT WINTER, BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS, GLACE BAY MINERS MUSEUM, THE BACCHAE, and a dozen more.
She'll be back on the boards in 2010 with three separate stage shows (including a musical!) and yet another film.
K-R lives in Vancouver with her partner, David Richmond-Peck, and their two energetic dogs: Henry & Josephine.
